How to Tune Your Guitar
Before you start playing, it's important to tune your guitar to get a smooth clear tone when you strum. There many different ways to tune your guitar but the one you should always use, especially if your a beginner, is the standard tuning. Standard tuning is E, A, D, G, B, e. Standard tuning also helps determine which string is which. To tune your guitar, you simple turn the tuning pegs until you hit the right note.
The bottom strong ,or lowest pitched string, is going to be tuned to low E, the 5th string should be tuned to A, tune the 4th string to D, the 3rd string to G, the 2nd string to B, and finally the top string ,or the highest pitched string, to the high e.
Some guitars have a built in digital tuner which tells you if you are too sharp, too flat, or just right. If your guitar doesn't already have this feature, there are many other things that can help you with tuning your guitar, such as:

- Electric tuners (you can usually find these in almost any music shop.)
- Tuning whistles
Have fun playing !
